Puritan Magnetics, Oxford, MI, features its line of belt-free magnetic conveyors that convey stamping scrap, knockouts, and chips and turnings from lathes, mills, presses and other metalworking machinery. The virtually maintenance-free, belt-free design eliminates jamming, tearing and premature wear associated with belt-type conveyors.
Internal magnetic assemblies attached to heavy-duty roller chain travel around the inside of the conveyor body. The magnetic field projects through the stainless steel conveying surface, attracting parts or scrap to its surface. As the magnet assemblies travel inside, ferrous objects are conveyed externally along the slider bed until they are discharged.
