Kuka Robotics, Shelby Township, MI, introduces the latest heavyweight addition to its line of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), the KMP 3000P. With the capacity to transport loads as heavy as 3 tons in any direction, including diagonally, the KMP 3000P’s omnidirectional drive provides optimum flexibility in the tightest of spaces.
The compact KMP 3000P—2200 by 1200 by 370 mm— effortlessly masters the transportation of large, unwieldy and heavy components. Four integrated 3D cameras (all four sides) and two laser scanners (front and rear) enable a 360-deg. view, allowing the platform to recognize obstacles and effortlessly drive around them.
The AMR operates 6-8 hr. per charge, and boasts a charging time of less than 2 hr. using an inductive charging system.
