Formtek-Maine Buys New Machining Center

Formtek-Maine, Clinton, ME, has purchased a new Mazak 530C twin-pallet vertical machining center. The new machine, the eighth CNC vertical machining center installed at Formtek-Maine’s 85,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility, adds manufacturing capacity for production of parts used in a variety of equipment and systems produced for the press-feed and coiled-metal processing markets.

The new machining center is equipped with a twin-pallet-changer system that unloads the completed part and loads the next part to be machined in less than 17 sec.
