Pioneer Service, Addison, IL, a manufacturer of precision machined parts and provider of centerless grinding services, has been granted the Woman Business Enterprise certification by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Pioneer Service works out of a 25,000-sq.-ft. facility stocked with equipment for grinding, straightening, deburring, drilling and more.

ISO 9001:2008 registration has been earned by Penn Stainless Products, Quakertown, PA. The firm’s quality policy pledges to “keep customers happy, improve processes, and include and invest in our people.” Penn Stainless distributes and processes stainless-steel sheet, plate, bar, structural, pipe and tubular products.

The Coordinate Metrology Society, San Diego, CA, has launched the industry’s first Level One Certification for portable 3D metrology. Examinations will be held at the Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) July 22-26, 2013, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. The Level One examination is a proctored online assessment comprising some 200 multiple-choice questions covering theory and practices common to most portable 3D metrology devices.
