February 17, 2023Comments
A new large-scale production site in Aguascalientes, Mexico, is set to strengthen Balluff’s global production network and shorten supply chains in North and Central America. In addition, the firm plans to expand its existing large-scale production sites in China and Hungary. The new site in Mexico, located about 500 km north of Mexico City and set to open at the end of 2023, will be a “smart factory” and create some 700 jobs in production, management and administration.
“More than half of the sensors, accessories, network systems, and RFID solutions produced at the new 15,000-sq.-m location will directly supply the North and South American market,” says Frank Nonnenmann, Balluff's managing director and head of supply chain.. “The remaining part is intended for the international market.”
