Feintool, Cincinnati, OH, introduces the XFT 1500 speed fineblanking press, rated for speeds to 200 strokes/min. The 1500-kN press replaces Feintool’s GKP 100/160 and MFA 1600.

The press is compatible with existing tools and can double their output, according to company officials.

Without a gearbox, the drive motor operates at 200 rpm compared to 1200 rpm as was the case with previous models. The servo motor on this new press reportedly has a much faster dynamic response and can be precisely programmed.

Adding to the functionality of the new press, the Feintool motion-control unit reportedly can define acceleration, part removal and intermediate stops to an accuracy of 2 msec.
