New Tryout Presses Part of Planned VW Mexican Expansion
October 1, 2010Comments
Volkswagen announced plans to invest another $1 billion over the next three years in its Puebla manufacturing complex. Included is the purchase of two Dieffenbacher tryout presses (16,000 and 25,000 kN models) for its tool-making department. The lower-tonnage model will include a 4000-kN four-point drawing cushion and a 3200-kN ram cushion. And, the bigger press will allow the plant to simulate mechanical production presses when trying out body dies.
