September 23, 2024Comments
PMA presents Die Maintenance and Troubleshooting, an in-person and virtual seminar, December 4-5 at PMA headquarters in Independence, OH. Topics covered during the two-day event include types of maintenance programs and their effectiveness; the impacts of press selection and press maintenance on die-maintenance cost; and the importance of proper cutting clearance. The seminar also will explore tool-steel selection and heat-treating practices to optimize die life and machine uptime; improper die-setting practices that can damage dies and presses, and produce inconsistent part quality; and a data-driven approach for solving problems in the press shop.
Speakers: Pete Ulintz of Pace Technologies, LLC, a PMA technical consultant and long-time author of MetalForming’s Tooling By Design column, and Tim Steber, regional sales manager for Solar Atmospheres and member of PMA’s Mid-Atlantic District board.
The price to attend in-person or virtually is $499 for PMA members and $699 for nonmembers, with breakfast and lunch included for in-person attendees as well as special hotel rates. For more details and to register, or contact Marianne Sichi, 216/901-8800 ext. 150.
