Standard Components Allow Custom Tool Build
September 1, 2008Comments The Guided Keeper System from Standard Lifters LLC, Grand Rapids, MI, offers standardization of components for custom-built tools. New products in the system include GK120-series guide pins that fasten to pads with two screws with guide-pin location accomplished using two dowels. The multi-fastener design provides redundancy and anti-rotation, preventing the guide pin from loosening during operation.
Also, the system’s GK bushing-style base option is a base that provides an economical alternative to the guide pin, bushing and spool method. It features a snap ring that prevents screw fallout during operation and modular flange clamps that allow it to be designed into space-restricted areas.
