Delmiaworks’ New Shopworks ERP Module Enhances the Experience on the Shop Floor

Manufacturers needing to rapidly switch between different production runs to meet customers’ tight timelines will appreciate the new intelligent Shopworks interface introduced by Dassault Systèmes as an add-on module to its Delmiaworks (formerly IQMS) manufacturing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Shopworks helps manufacturers within complex production environments simplify shop-floor operators’ activities, and gain real-time insights from the manufacturing-execution-system and manufacturing-operations-management ERP modules.

By taking advantage of Shopworks’ intuitive touchscreen user interface and widgets (see the accompanying figure), managers can set up work-center dashboards and rename fields to present operators with concise work instructions, eliminating any information and screen clutter that doesn't apply to the specific job at hand. In this way, operators are empowered to begin production runs faster while gaining greater flexibility in assigning operators to work centers, say representatives from Dassault Systèmes.
