More Funding from U.S. Navy, Air Force for Senvol Machine-Learning Software
March 9, 2021Senvol announced the receipt of further funding (an undisclosed amount) from the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force to develop additional capabilities for its additive manufacturing (AM) machine-learning software, Senvol ML. The software can be used to analyze data from any AM process, any AM machine and any AM material, according to company officials, who note that Senvol ML currently contains capabilities for rapidly optimizing AM process parameters; supporting qualification of AM machines and materials; predicting material properties; gaining insights from in-situ monitoring data to support quality assurance; and minimizing data-generation costs.
“We are very excited about the continued support from several of our Department of Defense partners,” says Annie Wang, Senvol president. “Our collective objective is to enable organizations to quickly characterize or qualify AM materials and processes. The new capabilities that we are developing are quite compelling and will augment the Senvol ML software’s existing suite of capabilities.”
