Dallas Industries, Troy, MI, has provided ventilation-equipment manufacturer Lomanco, Jacksonville, AR, with its third and fourth Dallas feed lines. The conventional lines, ideal for lighter gauge material, feed material to 36 in. wide; coil capacity, 8000 lb. Each line features a coil reel able to pay out from the top and bottom of the coil. The reels have an automatic adjusting brake with coil-O.D. sensor to adjust brake pressure as the coil depletes. A powered straightener on each line includes non-marking provisions for soft and cosmetic material.
Other features: SyncLoop technology for monitoring coil O.D. and loop depths, to enable automatic adjustment of payout speeds based on a combination of the line speed average (from the feeder), coil O.D. and loop-depth settings; and hand-crank adjusted edge guides, triple-roll edge guides with self-centering and independent adjustment for squaring soft and light-gauge materials.
The lines are built on an Allen-Bradley, Ethernet-based control architecture.
