Magic Coil Products Purchases Red Bud Multi-Blanking Line

Red Bud Industries, Red Bud, IL, has received an order for a precision multi-blanking line from Magic Coil Products, LLC, Butler, IN. The new line will be capable of processing coils to 50,000 lb. at widths to 72 in. and sheet thicknesses to 0.140 in. It features Red Bud’s precision grip-feed system and CNC-programmable slitter. This combination of machines will allow Magic Coil to produce blanks with width and length tolerances of ±0.005 in. The CNC slitter can be set up in less than 2 min. per cut, eliminating downtime that may occur when using conventional packed arbor slitters, according to Red Bud officials. In addition, while an operator sets up the slitting head, the line’s strip-divider positioning system automatically sets up dividers in the strip stacker. When the slitting head is set, the strip stacker is ready to run blanks.
