With a mission to provide networking and information-transfer opportunities without peer, PMA offers a stellar meetings lineup that proves popular year after year. PMA delivers year-round industry events, conferences and educational programs that offer invaluable networking opportunities and information to help attendees grow their businesses and maximize profitability.

Responsible for planning and overseeing PMA’s signature events, roundtables and related meetings activities: Katlyn Stratis, director of meetings and events, and meetings and events managers Alison Miller, Julia Gannon and Marianne Sichi.

“PMA’s meetings are a source of unique networking and educational opportunities in the metal forming industry,” Stratis explains. “Our meetings hold a captive audience that really lead member companies toward superior competitiveness and profitability.”

Signature Events—The Big Three

MD-14-Cleveland-PMA-Meetings-Profile-SpotlightCore to PMA’s meetings offerings are its 2025 signature events: Metal Stamping Technology Conference, Forming Our Future and the Automotive Parts Suppliers Conference (APSC).

Slated for January 28-29 in Nashville, TN, the Metal Stamping Technology Conference offers industry-leading intelligence to professionals from both the metal stamping and tool and die communities to learn from one another; share experiences; and gain new insight into emerging, evolving and maturing technologies. Produced by PMA in conjunction with MetalForming, the conference features keynote presentations, educational sessions, exhibits and networking opportunities. This event annually attracts more than 200 participants, providing ample opportunities for learning and collaboration.

Forming Our Future, PMA’s annual leadership conference and board meeting, is open to PMA members and nonmembers. Over four days, attendees enjoy inspirational keynotes, educational sessions on important industry issues, and networking activities that encourage and promote relationship-building and productive conversation. Picturesque Puerto Rico serves as host location for 2025’s Forming Our Future, March 5-8. With numerous optional activities, attendees have ample opportunities to experience the local culture and island attractions.

APSC is the premier conference for companies supplying the automotive industry, with APSC 2025, the 32nd annual event, taking place in Nashville, TN, October 28-29. This event brings together the auto-parts-supplier community for two days of insight, forecasting and networking.

Roundtables Tackle Common Issues

PMA-led roundtables welcome like-minded industry professionals, connecting colleagues in specific job categories to help them build their businesses while also providing opportunities for mentoring and honing leadership skills. Throughout the year, PMA offers a range of roundtable events, providing forums to discuss hot topics, common industry challenges, best practices and benchmarking. Roundtables are offered in the following job-responsibility areas: CFO, Human Resources and Training, Quality, and Sales and Marketing.

Resource for Management Growth

PMA also offers its popular Management Development Academy (MDA), designed exclusively for department supervisors, team leaders and other mid-level managers looking to advance their business and leadership acumen. MDA, a highly interactive, three-session series of customized workshops, aims to prepare rising leaders for success in their current and future roles.

The program, limited to 30 attendees each year, rotates through different exciting cities across the country. Each session includes 2.5 days of expert-led workshop sessions, facilitated debriefs, activities and interaction, as well as plenty of time to connect with the presenters, facilitator and cohort peers. These sessions are loaded with valuable best practices, lessons and experiential activities that participants can bring back and immediately apply. PMA is accepting registrations for MDA Class 15, with its first session set for July 28-30, 2025.

Keeping It Relevant

PMA’s meetings team constantly evaluates its offerings to ensure timely and informative content.

“Listening to what our members need and want is how we ensure that our meetings stay relevant,” says Stratis. “After every meeting we survey attendees and strive to include their requests and address their pain points in future programming. PMA is our members’ association, and giving them the power to steer content is important to us.”

Such efforts are not lost on attendees.

“Every member that I have grown to know has told me that the networking and relationships created at our events are invaluable,” Stratis offers. “Beyond the networking opportunities, the amount of continuing education and technical content offered across all of our events is impressive. There is something for employees of every level across our portfolio.”
