3DX Acquires Patent Portfolio, Launches R&D Division

3DX Industries Inc., Ferndale, WA, a manufacturer of a variety of products using additive and subtractive manufacturing processes, has acquired a series of patents related to water sprinkler systems, and launched a new research and development division. 3DX has helped develop the sprinkler systems over time and manufactures their metal components. The new R&D division will be led by Anthony J. Bredberg.

"We know that by using 3D metal printing in our R&D division we can provide a more efficient and environmentally friendly end product,” says Roger Janssen, CEO and chairman of 3DX Industries. “Mr. Bredberg has a portfolio of water sprinkler patents that are designed for large agriculture applications.”

“I'm excited about bringing together engineers, machinists and binder jet additive manufacturing technologies to develop new and exciting products at 3DX Industries,” says Bredberg. “Our current Patents have enormous potential, and we will continue to develop additional products through the 3DX R&D division.”
