Additive Manufacturing Consultancy and Equipment Provider Announce Training Collaboration

The Barnes Group Advisors, a Bristol, CT-based additive-manufacturing (AM) engineering consultancy and SLM Solutions North America, a Novi, MI-based AM equipment provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that includes the two working firms working together to promote and offer AM training to help bridge the current AM knowledge gap and help potential customers feel more confident about investing in AM hardware.

Per the arrangement, The Barnes Group Advisors will deliver training courses designed around key industry standards to SLM Solutions’ customers and contacts. Course include Discover AM (an essentials course), Focus AM (a technology & materials course), Accelerate AM (a design course) and Empower AM (a business and economics course). Custom class offerings on topics, including CT inspection and specialized metal powder training also will be available for SLM Solutions’ current customers.
