High-Speed Mechanical Presses

As seen at FABTECH...Stamtec showcased its new HS2-series high-speed mechanical presses, with an HS2-110-60-31 under power. The press’s eccentric shaft is engineered to be stronger than a traditional crankshaft. It is available either flywheel-driven with its eccentric shaft directly coupled to the flywheel with no reduction gearing for higher speeds, or gear-driven with its eccentric shaft with reduction gearing for more torque at slower speeds. It is equipped with precision, dynamic balancing for vibration reduction. Standard on all HS2 presses are motorized slide adjustment, e-stops, air connectors, and automatic oil cooling. Capacities in 110, 165, and 220 tons. Other press features include a recirculating lubrication system with oil cooling and heating and hydraulic stick-release device.
The 110-ton-capacity press provides a 2.52-in. stroke length and 15.98-in. die height, with a 60 by 31-in. bolster area and powered slide adjustment of 3.94 in. Press speed: 175-350 strokes/min.
