Albrecht Inc., Richmond, IN, has published the 13th edition of its annual Market Study of the Press Industry, compiling sales data for the domestic market for mechanical and hydraulic presses. The study looks at trends over a 20-yr. period, and shows that while press shipments for 2008 stayed level with those for 2007 and imports climbed by 29 percent, 2009 shipments likely will be down.
