What is Lubrication?

Lubrication is the process of reducing heat and friction when forming parts. Dry and wet lubricants are applied in a variety of ways to part material and tooling to provide higher-quality parts that can be formed and released more easily without damaging or excessively wearing tooling.

What are Lubricating Systems and Components?

Lubricating systems for metal stamping operations apply lubricant to the workpiece and/or tooling, prior to the workpiece material entering the die and/or during the stamping process. Application methods include spraying and rolling, using spray nozzles, applicators and other system components.
