6-kW Fiber Laser Kicks CO2 Laser to the Curb

Custom metal fabricator D&S Manufacturing, Black River Falls, WI, has replaced an aging CO<sub>2</sub> laser-cutting machine with a 6-kW Bystronic BySprint Pro 4020 fiber-laser machine. In addition to its enhanced capabilities, the new machine promises to reduce operating expenses as well as costs related to downtime and maintenance.
