Hydrapower Production Line to Star in New Pole Plant
July 1, 2011CommentsKW Industries, Sugar Land, TX, announced plans to build a new lighting-pole manufacturing plant outfitted with a production line from Hydrapower Intl., Marco Island, FL. Hydrapower will provide the new KW facility with a coil-processing line and taper slitter, 50-ft. press brakes with automated sheet feeding, a conical die set, an exit conveyor and a seam welder with entry loader. KW president Jim White credits the automation associated with the line with allowing a workforce of six to produce 100 poles/8-hr. day.
