Accurate Die Design Software Highlights its Agreement to Sell Stampack Simulation Software

As seen at FABTECH...Accurate Die Design Software demonstrated AutoForm’s LogoPress ProgSim forming-simulation software at FABTECH, and also discussed with visitors its recent agreement to become the North American distributor for Stampack GmbH, a Germany-based developer of forming-simulation software.

“We have been watching Stampack closely since 2016,” says Accurate Die Design Software president Ray Proeber. “We saw the huge difference in accuracy between the shell simulation common in the industry and the solid simulation within Stampack—which includes both shell and solid solvers."

ProgSim provides die designers with rapid, accurate incremental forming simulation of the progressive-die process including drawing, flanging and forming operations, as well as springback. It is used at the strip-layout portion of the die design before a die set or die blocks are created. Since LogoPress has tools to streamline the creation of trim and form punches in the strip assembly, these same punches are used for the surfaces used by ProgSim to perform forming simulation and automatic blank development using Cut Optimizer. With automated blank development complete, the software updates the geometry of the cutting punches used in the strip that create the blank with tangent lines and arcs—no splines.
